PRESCHOOL DAILY SCHEDULE - FALL SEASON

 

 

Time Frame            Program Description
7:30 a.m.                   Centre Opens

7:30 to 10:15 a.m.     Children choose to participate in the various learning opportunities set up within the room.  (including creative art, group games, dramatic play, computer, sensory play, language, math, and science as listed on the weekly program plan)
Morning Snack according to the Menu – small group seating served until 9:30 a.m.  

    
10:15 to 10:25     Tidy-Up & Dress for Outdoors
 
10:25 to 11:25 a.m.     Outdoor Play – set up according to the  Outdoor Program Plan (Alternate location for outdoor: gym or class room)

11:30 to 11:45 a.m.     Group Time (Language and Music)
 - Alternatively led by one of the Early Childhood Educators)

11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.     Lunch Time, Washroom & Toothbrush Routine

12:30 to 2:30 p.m.     Quiet Time/Sleep Time- CD/Tape Story and Music
1:30 p.m.      Children who have not fallen asleep may get off their cots and read books as well as participate in the planned daily cognitive, sensory & creative art opportunities

2:00 to 3:10 p.m.     All children are awakened at 2:15 p.m.  Children choose to participate in the various learning opportunities set up within the room (including creative art, group games, dramatic play, computer, sensory play, language, math, and science as listed on the weekly program plan).
Afternoon Snack according to the Menu – small group seating served until 3:00 p.m.    
Tidy-up and washroom routine.

3:10 to 3:30 p.m.     Afternoon Group Time - Story/Language
Prepare for Outdoors

3:30 to 4:30 p.m.     Outdoor Play – set up according to the Outdoor Program Plan ((Alternate location for outdoor: gym or class room)

4:30 to  4:45 p.m.    Group Time - Story/Songs

4:45 to 5:30 p.m.   Children choose to participate in the various learning opportunities set up within the room.  (including creative art, group games, dramatic play, computer, sensory play, language, math, and science as listed on the weekly program plan)

5:30 to 6:00 p.m.     Stories, Books and Puzzle Time

6:00 p.m.     Centre Closes
