DAILY PROGRAM SCHEDULE – KINDERGARTEN

BEFORE SCHOOL PROGRAM

Time Frame     Program Description

7:30 to 8:45 a.m.     Children choose to participate in the various learning opportunities set up within the room.  (including creative art, group games, dramatic play, computer, sensory play, language, math, and science as listed on the weekly program plan)
Morning Snack according to the Menu – small group seating served until 8:40 a.m. 

    
8:45 to 9:00 a.m.     Assemble on the Carpet Area for Group Time (Story & Language)
                                Children are Escorted to Kindergarten

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

3:20 to 3:30 p.m.    Children are Picked up from their Kindergarten Classes
                                 Assemble on the Carpet Area and Attendance is Taken
                                Group Time (Music/Movement)

3:30 to 4:30 p.m.     Children choose to participate in the various learning opportunities set up within the room.  (including creative art, group games, dramatic play, computer, sensory play, language, math, and science as listed on the weekly program plan)
Afternoon Snack according to the Menu – small group seating served throughout the hour.    
 

4:30 to 5:20 p.m.   Outdoor Play - set up according to the Outdoor Program Plan
                                (Alternate location: gym or class room)

                                Children are transitioned in two groups and may choose whether to go                                               in the 1st group (longer time) or 2nd group.
 
5:20 to 5:30 pm.   Group Time (Story - Language)

5:30 to 6:00 p.m.   Book and Puzzle Time (one staff member sets up for the following day according

                                 to  the program plan with children’s input)

6:00 p.m.               Centre Closes
